An absolutely beautiful coffee shop serving great coffee and is most conveniently located. Palos Verdes has its own seaside vibe and it is very evident here at this pet-friendly shop. The weather is beautiful so you can just pick up a coffee and walk around, maybe to the nearby shopping center.

Village Well Books & Coffee in Culver City not only has awesome books, but they also have great drinks, yummy breakfasts and a large seating area to indulge in both drinks and prints.

The HiFi Espresso location I visited was inside a bakery in Manhattan Beach, and although the bakery was closed, HiFi was open. And thank goodness it was. Because on a cold bracing morning, a strong espresso was just what we needed. Their baristas were fast, friendly and super understanding of the caffeine withdrawals their customers were going through.

I can't remember how I came to hear about Super Domestic Coffee, but upon seeing that giant "Home of the Best Vanilla Bourbon Latte" sign, I have to try it, right? It's very good, by the way.

Coffee with a cause. This coffee roaster, located in Pasadena, hence the name, supports homeless youth. Even if you don't come for the cause, come for the awesome, strong, kick-in-the-pants espresso drinks. This shop also doubles as a brewery, though not at the same time, so you can bring your little ones when you're getting your caffeine fix.
