Caffeinating in LA: Part 7

It's not fake: I really have been to all these coffee shops...

Balcony Coffee and Tea is in a fairly sizable shopping center which means free parking! It really helps here in Koreatown. What's even better is the large space inside their shop and on their patio for dining in. Even best, their iced lattes are refreshing on hot summer days.

Tortoni is an amazing neighborhood café in San Fernando Valley's Sherman Oaks area. They serve bracing espresso drinks and excellent Argentinean empanadas.

What a great concept: A tattoo parlor and a coffee shop in one place. I wondered how they would pull it off, what with the health and safety code, but after one visit, I see how masterfully they did. First of all, may I say that this trendy and beautifully designed shop couldn't have found a better home than Silver Lake. The coffee is great too!

Atwater Village is getting fancier and trendier as time goes by. I wish Black Elephant Coffee was around while I was working in the area, though I would surely have gone broke. What's great is that their specialty drinks are actually good and unique, not at all just a schtick.

6XS Coffee now sits where Bae Coffee used to be, but I am not disappointed - just grateful to have found another great coffee shop in Los Angeles' Koreatown. Their cream cloud is so good, a perfect complement to their cold brew!

I do so love saying "another great coffee shop in the San Fernando Valley". Ideology is a shop serving very good espresso drinks by baristas who know what they're doing and have space for you to work in.

Javista likes the Hollywood and West Hollywood area, and their newest location in West Hollywood is beautiful, spacious, work friendly and showcases hard to find plants by Atrium. The Latte and tea were brewed perfectly.

What a great idea! Full Service Coffee resembles a vintage gas station, considering the location and the way the driveway is situated. They went all out with the theme complete with coffee-scented hanging air fresheners, cement outdoor eating area, and a drive-up window to order your drinks from. This is a vegan only shop, but that doesn't hinder the flavor of their espresso drinks... and made their breakfast burritos extra awesome.

You can enjoy your delicious espresso drinks in their spacious and beautiful indoor space. Their avocado toast is notably beautiful, it is also full of flavor.

LaB Coffee & Roasters not only serves coffee, they teach coffee! Located in a center near a freeway exit, they have a free parking lot and plenty of seating. They serve coffee in many different ways: espresso, drip, cold brew, pour-over. Their matcha brioche was so good, we went back in line to order some more.

Matte Black Coffee - Update: Now Closed

A truly fun and unique space. Saw this on social media and thought I must visit. Excellent cold brew coffees. The arch is excellent too, though too expensive for me, they looked great though!

Nimbus Coffee - Update: Now Closed

1115 S Hope St, Los Angeles, CA 90015

For the Potterheads out here, here's Nimbus Coffee. Their play on everything Harry Potter and making it "Hollywood" is truly impressive. The space, the portraits and the drinks!
